New application: E. coli sensing
Turning an ordinary UV-Vis spectrophotometer into an E. coli sensor in minutes.
That’s the idea behind a new Optics Letters paper from IIT Bombay, built on our NanoCuvette™. The team functionalized the photonic crystal slab with E. coli-specific antibodies and saw most binding happen within the first 5 minutes. No labels needed.
It’s early-stage work with a big target: rapid, low-cost water testing where it’s needed most.
